Ravensworth Underground Mine Longwall Relocation
DeltaSBD has recently begun a major project at Xstrata’s Ravensworth Underground Mine (formerly Newpac) in the Hunter Valley.
The project comprises project management, labour and equipment hire and involves three phases:
- Longwall pre-installation
- Longwall recovery and transport
- Equipment transport to the surface
Pre-installation work commenced in late November 2008, utilising our longwall move equipment fleet. Project labour will peak at 52 and the project will be complete in mid January 2009.
