Members of the Delta SBD North Panel Team at BHP Billiton's Appin Colliery were named Appin Leadership Team's HSEC Champions of the Month for July 2010.

This recognition reflects the employees' personal efforts and commitment to support HSEC at Appin

The North Panel team reached the significant milestone of one year recordable injury free and had a high level of participation in leading Zero Harm activities.

Appin Operations Manager, Dan Teal said this was the first time a panel at Appin had achieved a full year without a recordable injury.

"It is great to see our contract unit being the first," he said.

"I appreciate your contribution to Appin. Well done."

In recognition of their achievement, the North Panel Team received Corporate Box tickets to one of the Wollongong Hawks home games.
