Delta Mining Merges with SBD Services

In October 2007, Delta Mining Pty Ltd merged with SBD Services Limited to form DeltaSBD Limited, one of the largest contract companies servicing the Australian underground coal mining industry.

The merger brought together two organisations that provide the most extensive range of contracting services and skills available to the industry. Together we have the financial capacity, people and equipment to provide outstanding service to our clients.

Whilst both Delta and SBD will remain as operating companies, a new holding company, DeltaSBD Limited has been formed. Steve Bizzaca is the Managing Director of the merged group, Tony De Santis is the Chief Operating Officer (formerly Delta General Manager) and Glyn Dawkins has assumed the role of Executive Director, responsible for business development for the Group.

The Group Head Office is located in Campbelltown in the South West of Sydney and will incorporate the NSW Southern Region Office. A regional office in Mackay, led by Dominic Jones, will continue with responsibility for Queensland, and a Newcastle office, led by Jim Richardson, will continue with responsibility for the Hunter region.
